RVQuestForAdventure was started by Rod and Vicki Blakney in May 2018 for the purpose of documenting our travels. We also want to be able to help anyone else that is considering RV travel, whether full time, part time or just on weekends or short vacations.

When we met in 2009 we discovered that we both have a love for travel. We both love history and visiting historic sites. When traveling by plane you miss out on so much and that’s why we decided that we wanted to RV. In September 2017 we purchased our Lance 2285 travel trailer and we have never regretted our decision.

We both grew up in Colorado. Rod is a native and Vicki moved to Colorado from Wisconsin at age 6. We love the outdoors and there’s no better place to take a drive, hike or do some photography than the Colorado Rocky Mountains!

We’re both photographers. Check out our gallery of some of our favorite shots. In the past we have done weddings, senior photos, family photos, etc. But our passions lie elsewhere. Vicki loves to travel back roads and photograph abandoned buildings, farms and vehicles. Rod loves severe weather, fire service photography and landscapes. Vicki is also a quilter and travels with her sewing machine.

Spending time with the kids and grandkids is so special to us! We love them all so much and cherish every moment we have with them! We have five grandkids, three boys and two girls.
